Park Square Spaces
Our Spaces at Park Square Theatre
Since 1994, Park Square Theatre has been a cornerstone of the Twin Cities arts community, operating in the Historic Hamm Building in downtown Saint Paul. Our venue features two dynamic performance spaces, providing artists and audiences with an immersive theatrical experience.
Proscenium Stage (350 Seats)
Our original mainstage is a 350-seat proscenium theatre, offering a classic stage experience. Designed for larger productions, this space has hosted some of Minnesota’s most acclaimed actors and artists in a range of powerful performances.
Andy Boss Thrust Stage (200 Seats)
Added in 2014, the Andy Boss Thrust Stage has an intimate, three-sided seating arrangement, this space allows for unique, up-close storytelling.
Additional Facilities
Beyond our performance spaces, Park Square Theatre includes:
• Dressing rooms and comfortable green rooms
• Rehearsal spaces for both the Proscenium and Andy Boss Thrust stages
• A lobby with a full bar and art gallery
• Ticketing stations for both performance spaces
• Costume and scenery shops
• Administrative offices supporting our artistic and educational programming
Park Square Theatre remains committed to fostering a vibrant theatre community and providing a creative home for artists and audiences alike.

Visiting Community Artists at Park Square Theatre
Park Square Theatre proudly opened its doors to local and visiting theatre companies, offering a vibrant, professional space for performances, workshops, and events. Our commitment to supporting the broader Twin Cities arts community is reflected in our long-standing tradition of welcoming diverse voices to our stages.
Who Are Visiting Community Artists?
Our Visiting Community Artists are independent theatre companies and performance groups that bring their unique productions to Park Square. These organizations rent our spaces to present their own work, adding to the rich cultural landscape of the Twin Cities. While these productions take place in our venue, they are not produced by Park Square Theatre unless otherwise noted.
Attending a Visiting Community Artist Production
Please note that Park Square Theatre does not handle ticketing or inquiries for Visiting Community Artist productions. Each company manages its own box office and customer service. For ticket purchases, schedules, and additional details, please refer to the links provided for each individual event.
We are excited to continue serving as a hub for artistic collaboration, offering a stage for both established and emerging theatre makers. Thank you for supporting the arts in our community!
