At Park Square Theatre, we are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming experience for all guests.

Our lobby and performance spaces offer a variety of accessibility features, including wheelchair seating, assisted listening devices, open captioning, and audio-described performances, and sensory-friendly accommodations.

Seating

Andy Boss Thrust Stage

Our 200-seat thrust stage surrounds the audience on three sides, creating an immersive experience. Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the front row of the center section.

Proscenium Stage

This 348-seat proscenium theatre offers an intimate setting. Wheelchair accessible seating is located on the sides of row F, in the VIP Box, and our private viewing booth (both by special arrangement).

Looking for More Room?

Most seats measure 21–22 inches wide, with additional seats available throughout the house that are 22 or 23 inches wide. Seating charts are provided to help you select the most comfortable options.

Private Viewing Box

Located at the back of the Proscenium theatre, this sound-proof booth features a glassed-in view of the stage and sound monitor, accommodating up to six guests or three wheelchairs with companion seats. Reservations are by special arrangement through the Ticket Office at 651.291.7005. This seating option is not available for online purchase and may not be offered for every production.

Assisted Listening & ASL/AD Performances

Our FM-enhanced listening system is available at no charge for hearing assistance and audio description. Assisted Listening Devices can be obtained at the Proscenium Patron Services Desk near the Coat Check or at the Boss Ticket Office on the lower level.

ASL-interpreted and Audio Described performances are offered throughout the season. Please check the performance calendar for specific dates and times. Patrons using these services receive half-price tickets. For more information, please contact the Ticket Office at 651.291.7005.

Open Captioning

With generous support from the Minnesota State Arts Board Legacy Funds, Park Square Theatre offers open captioning for select performances. Captions are displayed on a screen near the stage and are visible from nearly all seats. Please consult the performance calendar for scheduled open captioning dates or contact the Ticket Office at 651.291.7005 for more information.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Both the Proscenium Stage and the Andy Boss Thrust Stage offer wheelchair accessible seating in standard and premium sections, along with accessible restrooms.

  • In the Proscenium Theatre, accessible seating is available between rows F and G, as well as in the “Queen’s Box” and private viewing booth (both by special arrangement).

  • On the Andy Boss Thrust Stage, accessible seating is located in the front row of the center section.

Sensory-Friendly Access

Park Square Theatre offers a range of accommodations to support guests with sensory needs. These may include sensory activities in the lobby, audio and visual adjustments during performances, and social stories for camps, classes, and productions. Sensory-friendly performances are clearly noted within each production’s information.

Service Animals

Service animals, including guide dogs, are welcome to accompany Park Square patrons. Please notify the Ticket Office of this need when placing your order.
