POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Patron Services Manager

Reports To: Executive Artistic Director

Coordinates with: Director of Production, Operations Manager, Advancement Manager and Park Square staff

Status: Full-time, exempt 40 hours/week flexible afternoon evening and weekend work required-depending on events. Our performances are Thurs-Sat evenings and Sunday matinees with some exceptions for student matinees and special events.

Salary & Benefit Package: $42,000 - $48,000 depending on experience and qualifications including full Health/medical and generous PTO plan.

Park Square Theatre is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team in the role of Patron Services Manager. The Patron Services Manager will have experience with box office operations, front of house management, concessions purchasing and inventory, volunteer coordinating and group sales/student matinee booking. Park Square Theatre is looking for an individual with a willingness to grow in leadership with a quickly advancing organization.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

The Patron Services Manager works to ensure an excellent patron experience to Park Square patrons and guests. This vital position will oversee all box office operations, front of house, concessions, volunteer coordination, group sales and student matinee management. This individual will be mature, articulate, and confident – thriving in social and business situations, one-on-one and with groups of all sizes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General

● Serve as a core member of the staff

● Participate in staff and board committee meetings

● Manage CRM database

Box Office:

· Oversee the sale of tickets, season subscriptions, press and house seats and group sales

· Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing patron needs regarding sales of tickets and season tickets

· Respond to email and phone inquiries through the box office

· Hire and supervise part-time contract box office personnel

· Prepare box office reports and nightly sales reports

· Update and maintain events pages on the theatre's ticketing site Patron Manager

Front of House:

· Coordinate and supervise volunteer ushers and hired front of house staff including concessions.

· Serve as Front of House Manager at performances and events

· Ensure customer satisfaction by quickly fixing any problems

· Facilitate quick and efficient communication between front and back of house

· Maintain and supervise concessions/bar areas

· Purchase concessions and supplies and maintain relationships with distributors/suppliers

· Schedule and manage accessibility programs and personnel in collaboration with the production department

Group Sales and Student Matinees

· Work with the Education Manager to schedule and book student matinees

· Communicate efficiently and effectively with school/outreach representatives

· Ensure a safe and rewarding experience for students, teachers and patrons at matinees

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in arts administration, communications or related or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Experience:

● Minimum three year’s experience working in patron or customer service, box office and front of house for a non-profit organization

● Familiarity with Twin Cities theatre community

● Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Excellent time management, organizational and critical thinking skills

● Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion

● Experience working in collaboration with others in a team environment

● Understanding or familiarity of rules and regulations around alcohol and food service

Desired Experience:

● Experience using Emma, Square, Patron Manager or other ticket CRM

● Canva and website editing a plus
