Dear Friends,

I hope you’ll join us next year for Park Square’s 50th Anniversary Season of Celebration, a true milestone and an exciting new chapter in our story.

We’re thrilled to bring you four new productions. In honor of our golden anniversary, three of these plays explore the magic and mayhem of life in the theatre - onstage, backstage, and everywhere in between. The fourth kicks off an ambitious new endeavor: a five-play cycle of mysteries commissioned exclusively for Park Square, written by the incomparable Jeffrey Hatcher over the next five years.

This season is rooted in our rich legacy and looks boldly toward the future, and I would be honored to have you with us on this journey. If you’ve never subscribed before, there’s never been a better time to join the Park Square family. And if you’re already a subscriber, thank you. We can’t wait to welcome you back.

I invite you to join us as we celebrate 50 years, and look ahead to the next 50.

Onward,

Stephen DiMenna

Executive Artistic Director

It's Only a Play

Written by Terrence McNally I Directed by Stephen DiMenna

A fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy that celebrates - and lovingly skewers - the theatre world.

On the opening night of The Golden Egg, wealthy producer Julia Budder hosts a lavish Manhattan party. Downstairs, celebrities are arriving, but upstairs, the playwright, director, leading lady, and other insiders anxiously await the first reviews.

As egos clash and ambitions run wild, hilarity ensues in this sharp, affectionate look at the highs and lows of show business. With a venomous critic and an eager newcomer thrown into the mix, It’s Only a Play reminds us: in the theatre, sometimes the real drama happens offstage.

“This show is without a doubt hilariously, sidesplittingly funny…These are among the funniest lines to roll off a stage in years…IT’S ONLY A PLAY deserves only a rave.” - The New York Times.

A spooktacular adventure filled with mystery, laughs, and just the right amount of chills. When Brooke and her best friend Zeke land the leads in their middle school’s new musical, they’re thrilled - until strange things start happening around the theater.

Whispers of an old legend resurface, warning that the play might be cursed. As opening night approaches and the tension rises, Brooke and her friends must uncover the truth behind the haunting before the final curtain falls.

Featuring catchy songs, unexpected twists, and a heartfelt story about bravery and friendship, Goosebumps invites audiences of all ages to join in the fun... if they dare!

A Chorus Line

Book by Nicholas Dante & James Kirkwood | Music by Marvin Hamlisch | Lyrics by Edward Kleban

Originally Conceived, Directed and Choreographed by Michael Bennett

Directed by Stephen DiMenna | Associate Direction & Choreography by Eddie Gutiérrez | Music Direction by Wesley Frye

A stunning concept musical that captures the spirit, energy, and raw tension of a Broadway ensemble audition. As hopeful dancers compete for a coveted spot in the chorus, they reveal the personal stories, ambitions, and struggles that have shaped their lives.

A Chorus Line offers an unfiltered, deeply human portrait of the artists behind the glamour of Broadway. A brilliantly complex fusion of song, dance, and authentic drama, it was instantly recognized as a classic, winning nine Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

To celebrate the landmark 50th anniversary, Park Square Theatre’s production proudly features Michael Bennett’s original Broadway choreography -- preserving the iconic moves and heart-stopping rhythms that have thrilled audiences for generations.

Not only does 2026 mark Park Square Theatre’s 50th anniversary, it is also the 50th anniversary of A Chorus Line - a shared milestone that makes this production the perfect centerpiece for our celebratory season.

Whether you’re seeing it for the first time or rediscovering its magic, A Chorus Line is a singular sensation that captures the passion, vulnerability, and resilience of the Broadway dream.
