As many of Park Square’s friends and fans have read, Park Square’s Board of Directors made the difficult decision to eliminate the Artistic Director position held by Flordelino Lagundino. By streamlining the organization’s leadership structure, the board sees the potential to align Park Square’s resources more effectively in order to achieve its vision with its current financial situation.
The planned productions for the remainder of this season are on schedule and will be managed by the Executive Director and a part-time interim artistic producer.
The 2020-2021 program planned by Flordelino and his team will be announced later in February. Artistic vision and programming for the next season will be accomplished during this transition period by an Artistic Committee including key staff and 3-4 members of the theatre community.
Flordelino is leaving an important legacy at Park Square that builds on Richard Cook’s vigorous commitments to artistry, education, equity, diversity and inclusion.
