Spring Classes for Adults

SPRING 2023

As “your theatre for life,” Park Square and SteppingStone Theatre are pleased to offer a series of storytelling workshops for adults. Intergenerational classes are available as well as programs specifically for adults age 50 and above. Together, the programs will immerse you in learning that will cumulatively build your skills and comfort in speaking out and sharing your stories.

Deepen connections with friends and family, forge new relationships, and share the joy of theatre!

Adult Storytelling Classes

You are an artist and a storyteller (…even if you don’t know it yet!) Are you ready to reflect on the life experiences you hold and share them with a community of like-minded storytellers? What you hold inside is vital and powerful and ready to be explored and shared. Learn techniques and skills to craft compelling stories and confidently express them in your own personal performance style.

Participants will present a final sharing of their work on the final week for invited friends and family.

With a focus on creating an inclusive, safe, and fun space for actors of all skill levels, we’ll dive deep into acting technique in order to understand how an actor develops, prepares, and performs new work.

Dane has a great way of making everyone feel comfortable and accepted.  I enjoyed the class so much that I recommended it to a group of seniors that I meet with regularly.

Linda Z., Workshop Participant

First off, the class was fun, great fun. Dane put me at ease with the first group exercises… The class showed me I was still a creative spontaneous ‘senior’ person.
