The Story: One of America’s most prominent musicians and activists comes to life in this world premiere musical play. Born in the Jim Crow South, Nina Simone became one of the most vocal musicians of the Civil Rights Movement with her signature combination of classical jazz and social awareness. Regina Williams stars as the troubled and influential singer-songwriter who broke barriers and rules in this honest and heart-filled exploration of the life and music of Ms. Simone.
