Announcing the 2022–2023 Season!
For this 48th season, the Park Square cohort of Artistic Associates has worked to select plays that come from many points of view. Park Square audiences value theatre that is entertaining and meaningful, where everyone is able to tell their story, and where we can hear and see each other with open hearts, particularly as we rebuild connections and communities after these years apart.
This powerful season includes two world premieres, two regional premieres, a Tony Award winner, and a Pulitzer Prize winner. We are so excited to share these productions with you!
Also on stage will be several youth productions with talented young artists from SteppingStone Theatre for Youth! While these plays are not part of subscription packages, we hope you will gather friends and family of all ages to enjoy these wonderful stories!
Reserve now to secure the best seats on both stages!
The 2023 productions of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM have been cancelled. Please reach out to the Ticket Office with questions and for more information.
The Park Square Ticket Office is open for phone calls Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 5:00 pm. Phone 651.291.7005. For service other days of the week, please email tickets@parksquaretheatre.org.

By Lauren Gunderson
Directed by Shelli Place
Riotous Comedy
Four women find themselves caught up in the French Revolution: an assassin, a spy, a playwright, and, of course, Marie Antoinette. They plot murder, find friendship (and do some good writing), in this irreverent, poignant, rebellious comedic romp that considers how we go about changing the world.
Park Square and Flying Foot Forum present
JOE CHVALA AND THE FLYING FOOT FORUM
Apr 13 – Apr 23, 2023 | Thrust Stage
Joe Chvala and the Flying Foot Forum celebrate 30 years of creating vibrant, bold and deeply creative works; fusing percussive dance and music to tell unusual tales, create a wild variety of characters and explore universal ideas in inventive and exciting ways. Joined by powerhouse guest artists Patricia Brown (AfroFusion), and Susana Di Palma (Zorongo Flamenco), FFF brings a panoply of repertory pieces and exciting new collaborations, as well as letting us get a peek at their award-winning short films!
BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY
May 24 – Jun 18, 2023 | Proscenium Stage
By Stephen Adly Guirgis
Comedy-Drama | Winner of the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama
A sensational comedy-drama exploring fatherhood, loneliness, and the complexity of justice. Surrounded by a beautiful, eclectic stream of family and houseguests, ex-cop and recent widower “Pops” is barely holding on to his stability and his once-grand apartment on Manhattan’s Riverside Drive. Rich with the contradictions of human nature, and germane in its examination of policing and the Black experience, this award-winning play may not provide answers, but dives deeply into the questions challenging our society.
A rich new play… Mr. Guirgis has a splendid ear in blurring lines between the sacred and profane and it is a dizzying and exciting place to be.”
– The New York Times
