Teacher’s Night Out Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the purpose of the event? We want to thank teachers for all you do by offering an evening of wine, dinner, and information to you. We also want to tell you about our programs and how we might be useful to you and your colleagues. We want to offer teachers who are curious about Park Square a way to see a play and spend social time with colleagues.
What happens during the program portion of the evening? The cast and designers of the production will give behind the scenes perspectives to embellish the performance.
Will we see the whole production? Yes, you will see the full performance of A Raisin in the Sun.
May I come for just the dinner and the play? We would like you to be present for the social time and the program, so even if you will arrive somewhat late for the program, please still come. We will have late seating available.
How late will the event run? The show will end at about 10pm.
Can I bring a guest who is not a teacher? Yes, you may. Each teacher may bring a non-teacher as a guest. We would, however, prefer to have at least 50% teachers at the event.
How late can I RSVP? We recommend you reserve as soon as possible. There are only 160 seats for teachers that evening and once we have sold out, we cannot add to that number. We will need your credit card payment to mark your reservation.
Can I pay the night of the event? Unfortunately, no. The event sells out and we will need advance payment to hold your seat.
What forms of payment do you take? We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Where can I pick up my tickets? We will hold all tickets for pick up on the night of the event. There will be a table in the hallway near the theatre where you will pick up your name tag and tickets.
I am going to arrive about 20 minutes late, what should I do? Just let us know that and we will hold your name tag, tickets and glass of wine for you. We will have greeters in the lobby of the theatre to welcome you.
Where is Park Square Theatre and how do I get there? We are located in downtown Saint Paul, one block south of Mickey’s Diner on St. Peter Street, kitty corner from the Landmark Center. We have two stages, and this event will take place in the Andy Boss Thrust Stage which is on the lower level of the Hamm Building. The address for the door where you should enter the building is 408 St. Peter Street (just next to Meritage Restaurant) and you may drop your guests at this door before you park your car. Where do I park? Visit our Getting Here page for a list of parking ramps. For this event, we recommend that you avoid street parking. The meters will run until 10pm in most areas of downtown St. Paul.
What will the dinner menu consist of? The menu will consist of salad, cheese ravioli, meat lasagna, French bread, butter, wine, soda, water, and a brownie. If you are vegetarian, please let us know.
Will there be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free food options available? We will have salad and vegetarian ravioli for those who are vegetarian. For our gluten-free guests, we will have chicken breast and salad. Unfortunately, we will not have a vegan entrée option.
