A reimagined, devised, adaptation of this classic Greek drama explores civil disobedience, fidelity, and a family torn apart by pride. In an electric production that brings the action directly onstage, the battle between the laws of the gods and the laws of people rages. Who is right, when all are certain? What are you willing to die for?

Kedrowski’s “thoughtful approach juxtaposes the rituals of fate and sacrifice against the wounded family dynamic at the heart of this play. The results are powerful.” (Star Tribune)

ADVISORY: Antigone (an-TIG-un-ee) is an original adaptation of Sophocles’ Greek tragedy appropriate for adults and young people ages 12 and up. It’s an intimate take on a 2,500 year old story, examining what happens when the justice system doesn’t line up with morality. Unlike most versions of Greek theatre where the action happens off stage, this version places those things onstage, including suicide, simulated violence, mild adult language, and women speaking their mind.
