Tragedy on the ANDY BOSS THRUST STAGE
View/Download the Playbill
Shakespeare’s enduring tragedy investigates the motivations and mayhem at the heart of power-grabbing. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth schemes and murders his way to the throne in this haunting tale of prophecy, guilt and paranoia. Set against a shattered mirror, this taut production reveals leadership derailed by self image, equivocation, and seeing things that aren’t really there. Please Note: This production depicts scenes of violence using stage blood.
FROM THE DIRECTOR & ADAPTOR:
“It’s amazing to me that Shakespeare’s 400-year-old language speaks to our political climate with such brutal parallels.”
– Jef Hall-Flavin
WHY GO? The blood sport of politics comes to life while experiencing this Shakespeare classic in the intimacy of the Andy Boss Thrust Stage.
WHO SHOULD YOU BRING? Your friends who can’t wait for the next season of Game of Thrones or House of Cards (or the next election cycle) to begin.
